Green Lake (1979-1982)

At the request of the local parents, Sisters Burke and McNally arrived in Green Lake in July 1979, a Cree and Métis community in Northern Saskatchewan. At St. Pascal School, Sister McNally was hired as principal (1979-1982) while Sister Burke as the community worker. The following year, Sister Burke moved to the provincial Department of Northern Saskatchewan as supervisor of family services. She also assisted at St. Jude’s parish in establishing a parish council. The mission was closed on June 30, 1982.
