Saint John (1951-1953; 2009-2018)

Fluent in German, Dutch, Polish and English, Sister Katharina Klutterman, a veteran port worker in Halifax, Montreal and Quebec City, assisted the Catholic Women’s League in welcoming the influx of immigrants disembarking from European ships in the port during the winters of 1951 until 1953.

Sister Marilyn Gillespie, retired from prison ministry, provided spiritual direction during six months a year to the Sisters of Charity of the Immaculate Conception for 11 years until 2018.
